Tip: Your message center number might be empty or wrong!
Solution: Very simple :)
- Dial *#*#4636#*#*.
- You will get a menu, from that select Phone Information
- You will find a setting "SMSC"
- Refresh it. It is most likely to retrieve the message center number from your operator. (Or call your operator, and get the message center number, and then update in this field)
Happy messaging!

DeleteHi Prayash and Ionutzdrg,
ReplyDeleteFor me the above process works. It really updates my Message center number. So when I go back to the same screen (by dialing that combination), and refresh it, I can see the updated SMSC.
[I am using HTC Wildfire, Android 2.2.1]

Also there is another way to change the Message Center No.:
1. Go to "Messages" (the default Message app provided by Android).
2. Click 'Menu' button (on ur phone), then click 'Settings'
3. This opens up the Settings screen. Under the "SMS Settings" group, the 2nd option is 'Service Center'. You can update your Mess Center No. by clicking it.
